Sometimes in business, we see our competitor doing something really cool. So, we decide we probably ought to do that thing too. Or, we get some feedback that we really should be doing this, or that, because it’s an opportunity that might lead to great prosperity for our business. Or, we say we’ll do something. Go off the idea. But then feel compelled to follow our original thought so as to stay consistent and not be flaky. All these scenarios can take us off our BIGGER course. Here is how we know if it is not for us. We get the ‘I don’t want to’ feeling. When you think about doing a new thing
We find ourselves digging our heels in - metaphorically - and pushing away from the very thing that we say we want. It can be exhausting. It can be easy to get into a way of thinking that is full of “SHOULDS”. What we SHOULD do or what we COULD do. Yes, you could have a membership You could be doing daily Facebook lives, speaking on stages, writing a book. You could, but you don’t HAVE to. Listen to hear:

What's your relationship like with your business? Does the money side of your business leave you feeling overwhelmed or confused? Do you feel like you're pushing harder and working longer but not seeing the results you'd like? The good news is that making sense of your finances can be fun. The great news is, it's even possible to do less work in your business but make MORE money. Our lives and our businesses are often influenced by what's going on around us, like raising young children, caring for relatives or needing to take better care of ourselves. That's why it's critical to set up a business model that allows you to earn more, without earning more being tied to your time. And when you do this, you'll be able to change your approach to life, and to your business. Because doing LESS is how you can have more of what you want in your life. Kate Northrup, bestselling author of Money: A Love Story and Do Less, teaches women how to have more time and make more money while feeling less stress. According to Kate, the secret to success isn’t fitting more into your day. The secret to success is fitting more of yourself into your day.

Do you ever feel like you’re really lagging when it comes to getting the success you want in your business? Like others are just passing you by and you can’t seem to get a break? Maybe you’ve been running your business for a long time but haven't seen the growth you’d hoped for. And, you have so much experience - more than some of your competitors, but they seem to be making the sales and having all the wins? Or, maybe you’re new in business putting in a whole lot of effort BUT some days, you feel like you are going backwards? Perhaps you want to try something new in your business, like a membership, or an online course, or a podcast, or running webinars - and it feels like you’ve left it too late. Everybody is already doing all that. You don’t want to be an also-ran. You ask yourself… is there any point in playing the game at all? I get it. I have felt that way too. The HerBusiness Podcast has reached 500,000 downloads! Thank YOU for being one of our wonderful listeners. After seeing comments from some of our members who were questioning their own value, I realised that while I see their potential, they were only seeing where they were falling short in business. I’ve done the same thing, many times. Played down my wins. In this episode I explain how owning your awesomeness doesn’t mean you've got it all figured out. It doesn’t mean that you get all your goals, check off all your tasks, win the awards, get the publicity, make the sales. And, it doesn’t mean that you are arrogant or full of yourself when you do celebrate your awesomeness. Every day, I encourage women in our HerBusiness community to - start a podcast, do a Facebook live, hire support in their business, take that leap, go for that bigger job, build that membership. Because so often we don’t recognise that we actually deserve the support or the pat on the back for what we are doing - now. Some of us have decided that we will own our awesomeness when we achieve something BIG we have set out to do. But, certifications, awards, number of staff, annual revenue figures – none of these will make you feel more whole, more smart, more confident, more awesome without you ALSO stepping into ownership of the talents, skills, strengths, experience, and knowledge that any of those achievements and accolades represent. We, each, just need to discover and embrace how spectacular we are and what we ARE achieving as business owners. Listen to this episode to discover:
